Successful Companies Communicate With Their Customers
How often have you said to yourself? ‘ Now there is a successful company.’ What I challenge you to do is ask why are these companies successful? Yes they may have a great product and they are well managed. These companies seem to grow and be successful with very little advertising. What’s their secret?
It’s really very simple in my view. They communicate with their customers. Communicating is a two way street. Actually the really good companies listen to their customers more than they talk to their customers. One of my favorite sayings is ‘Answers rarely come out of thin air. They most always come after we ask a question’.
I had a meeting last week with one our biggest customers with locations all over Eastern Canada. This senior executive said on several occasions that, ‘speaking and communicating with our customers is the most important thing we do. We need to keep them engaged.’ Answer365 is the first point of telephone contact for this customer and we do this 24 hours a day for them. It’s wonderful to have customers like this. They help make us successful and we do the same for them.
How are you communicating with your customers? Are you listening? If you have a machine answering your phones, you are likely not communicating with your customers.
I believe by having a machine answer your phones your saying that your business is about you and not about your customer. The human touch is the best form of advertising and marketing you can buy. It’s more affordable than you think.
